The Walk On By are a Sydney based 3-piece formed in May 2008.

The sound of the band is an involuntary cross-genre concoction of 80′s post-punk, 60′s garage surf rock, a touch of swagger and demented blues, a splash of no wave, all thrown together with absinthe, soda and a twist of lemon.

September 2009 saw the band perform a 6 show tour of Spain, and this year the band expand to conquer greater Europe, with a 7 show tour planned over Spain, France, Holland and the UK.

Drawing inspiration from the Australian underground and their urban existence, the band plays live as if each show will be their last. Broken instruments, blown PA’s and dislocated knees have featured at past shows.

Their growing back catalogue includes two EP releases (The Walk On By, 2008; Mislaid, 2008), a 7” vinyl pressing (Delilah, 2009) and the band await the release of their debut LP and live DVD in late 2010.
