The Walk On By Kick Off Debut National Tour
Fresh from their seven date tour of Europe and the United Kingdom, Sydney-based post punk trio “The Walk On By” have their sights set on Brisbane as the kick off to a comprehensive National Tour in the lead up to the release of their debut album in late December.

Popular Fortitude Valley live music venue The Step Inn will set the stage for The Walk On By’s first show in the tour on the 5th of November from 8pm. The line-up for the evening includes local Brisbane bands “The Keep On Dancin’s” and “At Sea” playing in support of the visiting Sydney-siders.

Although only a handful of have been confirmed, the trio is keen to make the most of their first national Australian tour, taking their live show to as far afield as possible, including an appearance at “Terrorfest” in Darwin on December 4th. Guitarist and vocalist Solomon Barbar vows that “We are going to hit the road and play anywhere we can, no matter how far off the beaten track it is.”

With an already impressive back-catalogue comprised of two EP’s and a seven inch vinyl single, the band is excited about their as-yet untitled debut album which will hit the shelves in late December. “This is the most complete Walk On By recording to date,” says Solomon Barbar. “It’s a huge leap from the EP’s, the songs are better crafted, a distinct and unique sound has been found.”

Regarding their recent European tour the band is still riding high and are looking forward to sharing their energy with Australian audiences. In their appearances in Spain, Amsterdam and London, “we played bigger shows to bigger crowds,” says Solomon. “We’ve come home a better band.”

The Walk On By’s first national tour kicks off on 5th November in Brisbane at The Step Inn. Special guests include local bands “At Sea” and “The Keep On Dancins”. It promises to be a unique night of powerful live music and frenetic performances, so don’t miss the opportunity to join in the fun.
